Iran has threatened to deploy a policy of "zero restraint" if the US makes good on its ultimatum to ‘obliterate’ Tehran’s power plants. The country also plans to target energy infrastructure across the Persian Gulf and banks that do business with the US. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent defended the president's stance, arguing that escalation could be the best way to de-escalate the conflict.
