Sweet-shooting Goreville knocks off Lawrenceville in 1A semis

Goreville High School's basketball team, known for their prolific three-point streak, defeated Lawrenceville 55-47 in the Class 1A semis. The Blackcats, who made 326 threes this season, are set to play against Marshall in the championship game. Senior Garrett Church made eight threes in the win, while senior Nick King scored 20 points. Lawrenceville's Jayden Goff led with 16 points and six rebounds. The game was out of hand but the team refused to quit playing.
