Inmate found dead in Georgia jail

An inmate named George Ellis, a 70-year-old man, was found unresponsive in Troup County Jail on April 11. The cause of the death is currently unknown. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation will investigate the death. The sheriff's office has issued a statement regarding the death of the inmate.
