The Minnesota Timberwolves are struggling to maintain their momentum ahead of the NBA playoffs, with their fourth loss in the past five games and their third consecutive conference final. The team, which has reached the conference finals in each of the past two years, has fallen three games behind Houston in the Western Conference with four games remaining in the regular season. Despite this, they have yet to secure a spot in the playoffs by avoiding play-in games. The Timberwolves have been dealing with injuries to key players Anthony Edwards and Jaden McDaniels, who have been sidelined due to injuries and a shoulder issue respectively. Despite these setbacks, Minnesota's coach Chris Finch remains optimistic about their team's chances of reaching the next round of the playoffs. They are currently sixth in the league in 3-point shooting rate (36.9%) this season, but have only ranked 25th since the All-Star break.
