Polk County deputies have killed a suspect, identified as Ronald Breese, after he fired at them during a mental health call on Socrum Loop Road in Lakeland. No deputies were injured during the incident. The suspect was killed after several deputies returned fire on him. The sheriff will investigate the incident throughout the night.
