Iran's Parliament Speaker, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, has accused President Donald Trump of making seven false statements in an hour, including that the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz and the broader ceasefire terms were false. The statement came shortly after the S&P 500 posted its fastest recovery since 1982. Ghalabaf criticised Washington's claims, stating that the US did not win the war with these lies and will not get anywhere in negotiations. He also dismissed reports that Iran had agreed to transfer its enriched uranium, calling it untrue. The reopening has not significantly impacted shipping volumes, with over 150 tankers anchored around the strait due to high insurance costs and conflicting US-Iran signals.
