The family of 20-year-old man killed in a Chicago police-involved shooting has filed a lawsuit against the police department. The incident occurred in the 5700 block of North Washtenaw in West Ridge in December. Police were responding to reports of a stolen vehicle and a struggle ensued when one shot was fired, leading to the officer being dragged by the car. Lawyers for the victim's family claim that the officer attacked and shot the man. The officer involved in the incident has recovered and is currently undergoing treatment.
