Justin Fields, a five-year veteran from the New York Jets, joined the Kansas City Chiefs in part to learn from Patrick Mahomes, who is recovering from a knee injury. Despite the injury, Fields believes he will be able to gain significant knowledge from Mahomes in the quarterbacks room. The Chiefs acquired Fields for $7 million, while the Jets will pay $10 million of his guaranteed salary for 2026. Despite not having seen many plays yet, Fields has been impressed by the team's workouts and meetings.
