Ashley Fairleigh and her daughter, Audrey, escaped a deadly shooting at an Austin Target seven months ago. The incident occurred shortly after 2 a.m. on March 1 at 2am, when a shooter drove to Buford’s Backyard Beer Garden and opened fire, killing two people and injuring more than a dozen others. The trauma of these shootings lingers long after the shooting, affecting individuals directly involved and outside of the incident. For each person directly affected, another 10 people outside the incident can be affected. The Fairleighs were trapped in the store by a locked door and a chain link fence and drainage ditch. They still don't remember who yelled or what he said.
