NASA is planning to build a permanent base on the moon, test space-based nuclear power, and meet President Donald Trump's space policy. The agency’s administrator, Jared Isaacman, stated that the goal of success will be a permanent lunar base, not just a construction site or a junkyard, but a permanent site on the lunar surface. The Apollo program was canceled after it became one of the most expensive and scientifically intensive programs undertaken by the U.S. by the Apollo program. He also emphasized the importance of the Artemis Accords, signed by 61 countries.
