New development plans are in place at 1 Embankment Place, the building above Charing Cross Station, which could be transformed into a vibrant destination for business, culture, and tourism. The renovations aim to improve frontages to businesses on Villiers Street and create clearer pedestrian links between CharingCross Station, the Embainment, Victoria Embankments Gardens and Villiers St. The building, which houses PwC's headquarters, will gain new outdoor terraces and 35,000 sqm of additional office space. However, around 90% of the existing structure and facade will remain unchanged.
