China is expected to face severe flooding and drought in several parts of the country in 2026, according to state broadcaster CCTV. The Ministry of Water Resources predicts more severe flooding in the north, while potentially affecting inland areas. From April to May, some areas in the Pearl River Delta, Fujian, Zhejiang, and the middle reaches of the Yangtze River may see floods exceeding warning levels. Additionally, the southwest may also see periods of drought.
