Shawn Sullivan, a 40-year-old man from Tyngsboro, is facing charges related to the alleged killing of Jill Kloppenburg, a missing Lowell woman. His attorney, Ryan Sullivan, called the shooting "a tragic accident" and stated that Shawn Sullivan confessed to shooting Kloppenburg in his bedroom in February 2025. The remains of Kloppenburg were found under a garage floor in which she was buried. Both the victim and the shooter were identified through dental records. Sullivan is being held without bail pending an April 17 probable cause hearing.
