Red Lobster is reportedly planning to revive its $20 all-you-can-eat shrimp promotion, which led to the chain's bankruptcy. The decision comes as Red Lobster's CEO, Damola Adamolekun, has stated that the company will make "the greatest comeback in the history of the restaurant industry". The promotion was so popular and costly that it forced restaurants to store massive inventories of shrimp. Since emerging from bankruptcy in 2024, Red Lobsters has struggled to win over customers in a highly competitive fast-casual sector. The company has also been trying to appeal to a younger, more diverse crowd and has been exploring selling more Red lobster-branded products in retailers.
