The Reno-Tahoe International Airport is expecting a significant increase in travel traffic due to spring break. Despite the partial government shutdown affecting some airports, the airport is expected to have longer wait times due to high spring break travel volume. Approximately 50,000 Transportation Security Administration employees are currently working without pay. The peak travel days for the airport are March 20, 23, 26, 27, and 30, with 16,000 travelers expected each day.
