King Charles Addresses WHCD Shooting in Historic Congress Speech

King Charles made history by becoming the second British monarch to address the United States Congress, following in the footsteps of his mother, Queen Elizabeth. He addressed the White House Correspondents' Dinner shooting that resulted in a Secret Service officer being shot and Cole Tomas Allen being charged with attempting to assassinate the president. King Charles and Queen Camilla are visiting the U.S. as it celebrates 250 years of independence and are a descendant of King George III. He emphasized the importance of upholding democracy and protecting all people from harm, and cautioned against acts of violence that would create fear and division within the country. He also praised the partnership between the two countries, calling it "one of the most consequential Alliances in human history"
