Florida State University's College of Social Science and Public Policy (COSSPP) is set to launch three new undergraduate degree programs in fall 2026. The new Disaster Management and Public Safety degree programs will focus on disaster response, public safety, and leadership within public policy and service fields. The College will also launch a Bachelor of Science in Civics and Liberty Studies, an interdisciplinary degree proposed by the Institute for Governance and Civics. Despite the expansion, the department will continue to offer its three current certificates at both graduate and undergraduate levels. The Student Intelligence & Emergency Response Association (SIERA) also supports students interested in emergency management, disaster relief, and public security.
