Sunny and muggy through Friday, but a cold front brings changes this weekend

A strong, high pressure system over Southeast Louisiana has positioned itself over the weekend, keeping rain chances extremely low and keeping storm activity well away from the area. However, a cold front is set to move through south Mississippi and Southeast Louisiana, pushing temperatures back to 70 degrees by Sunday morning. This could result in significant changes in weather conditions, with scattered showers and thunderstorms possible, but the best chance of significant rainfall is in Southwest Mississippi. If the front does not arrive, potential fire weather concerns could develop.
