The Los Angeles Dodgers have placed closer Edwin Díaz on the injured list due to loose bodies in his pitching elbow. Lefty reliever Jake Eder has been recalled from the minors as a result. Díá, who had previously worked with the Mets for seven years, signed a three-year, $69 million deal with the Dodgers this past offseason. Despite a poor start to the 2026 season, Días has been inconsistent and has a 10.50 ERA and 2.33 WHIP in 10 outings. His last two outings have seen him record just three outs and allow six earned runs. The Dodgers are currently 15-6, the best record in baseball, but are on a two-game losing streak.
