President Donald Trump has made a last-minute push to prevent Virginia from Gerrymandering districts ahead of the next census cycle. The state is set to vote on a proposed constitutional amendment that would allow the state to redraw its congressional map. During a tele-rally with House Speaker Mike Johnson, Trump called for the vote to reject the measure. He accused Democrats of manipulating elections through a partisan effort designed to favor Democrats. If the referendum passes, Virginia Democrats will lose four out of five congressional seats. This is not the first time Trump has intervened in political fights, usually when congressional deadlines are imminent or votes are hours away.
