Rudy Esteban Baca, a 25-year-old Las Cruces man, was arrested on animal cruelty charges after admitting to throwing his anger at his mother's dogs during a domestic incident. The incident occurred when Baca became upset about a mess at his home and blamed his mother for the mess. Home surveillance footage showed Baca throwing one dog towards a television and another towards a table, and both animals could be heard yelping and running away. Baca later expressed remorse and stated he did not intend to harm the animals.
