Cincinnati jazz pianist and composer Dan Karlsberg has released his seventh album, "Rooms Without Walls," which is set to be released on April 10. This marks the first time he has performed unaccompanied in his recording career. The album was inspired by Thelonious Monk's 1957 album, which stood out in its freer, more exploratory spirit. The 13 tracks include three original compositions by Karlsburg and three improvised pieces recorded spontaneously in the studio. The remaining selections are interpretations by three Cincinnati artists. A release concert will be held on April 13 at Memorial Hall in Cincinnati.
