International film distributor, streamer and production company Mubi has secured the Mexican and Latin American rights to Fernando Eimbcke's "Flies" (Moscas). The film, which had its world premiere at the Berlinale and is set to be released in cinema theaters, marks the first time Mubi will theatrically release a Mexican film across Latin America. The film stars Teresita Sánchez, Hugo Ramírez, Enrique Arreola, and young Bastian Escobar. Its theatrical release in Mexico and the rest of Latin America is set for the second half of 2026. Mubi, founded in 2007 by Efe Cakarel, has expanded its global reach to 190 countries and acquired The Match Factory in 2022 and a majority stake in Cinéart in 2024.
