Musician Kid Rock, whose real name is Robert James Ritchie, joined Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth on an Apache helicopter ride, just weeks after he posted a video of an Army aircraft hovering over his backyard pool. The helicopter ride was held in support of a Freedom 250th community relations event, where Rock participated in troop touches with service members and filmed videos for Memorial Day, America’s 250th birthday, and for his Freedom 250 tour. Following backlash, the troops piloting the chopper were temporarily suspended pending a review of protocol. However, hours later, the suspension was lifted and no further investigation was conducted.
