Shannon O'Connor, a former Los Gatos mother, has been convicted of 16 felonies for orchestrating raucous teen parties that were characterized by binge drinking and sexual assaults. A judge has increased the potential prison sentence for O’Connor, who was convicted last week of child endangerment, two sexual penetration counts, and one count of dissuading a witness. The judge ruled that she exploited a position of trust and targeted vulnerable victims in all of her felony convictions. She also found that O‘Connor had induced a minor to commit a crime for the two sex counts, based on allegations that she facilitated the sexual penetration of two girls by enabling them to become too intoxicated to consent. The court's decision allows O'Conner to have the maximum terms for each of the felony convictions, which could range from 33 years in prison to nearly three times as long.
