Sarasota man sentenced after trafficking guns linked to Canadian crime scenes: DOJ

A 35-year-old man from Sarasota, Florida, has been sentenced to four years and three months in prison for his role in an international firearms trafficking conspiracy. The Department of Justice stated that Ervan John Er purchased 28 guns from firearms dealers in Florida and transported them across the Canadian border to Canada, where they were used in multiple crimes. The investigation led to the discovery of 10 guns that were smuggled from crime scenes in Ontario and Quebec.
