This comes as gas prices have soared to levels not seen since 2022 due to the ongoing Israel-U.S. war with Iran, which has effectively blocked oil exports. As of Friday, AAA reported the average price at $4.09 per gallon of gas in the U.S., Hassett argued that the economy has "so much momentum" and that gas prices will decrease soon. However, Fox News host Bill Hemmer disagreed, stating that West Texas crude prices have significantly increased since February 27.
