Nurse killed friend who lied about having cancer for years, hoped to steal life insurance

A nurse, Meggan Sundwall, has been convicted of murdering her friend, Kacee Lyn Terry, who lied about having cancer for years. Sundwall believed she could secure a $1.5 million life insurance policy by killing Terry, but soon learned that the policy never existed. An autopsy revealed Terry's death was caused by an overdose of multiple substances. Sundwand allegedly encouraged Terry to kill herself by insulin overdose, and deleted many incriminating text messages from the victim. Although Sundwall's defense claimed Terry killed herself, Sundwall was found guilty of aggravated manslaughter.
