Midwest City man sentenced to prison for drugs, weapons

Jarmelle Dante Carter, a convicted felon, has been sentenced to nine years in federal prison for illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition. This comes after he was convicted of a felony for his role in a drug conspiracy. The police found two 12-gauge shotguns, ammunition, and controlled substances at two addresses associated with Carter in May. On July 16th, 2025, a federal grand jury charged him with being a felon in possession of firearms and ammunition and drug conspiracy, and he pleaded guilty to the charges.
