KaShawn Nicola Roper, a 50-year-old woman from Kansas City, was arrested in High Springs, north-central Florida on Wednesday, nearly a day after she was placed on the FBI's top 10 most wanted fugitive list. She is charged with unlawful flight to avoid prosecution, second-degree murder, armed criminal action, and unlawful use of a weapon. The arrest came after tips were sent to the FBI and a reward of up to $1 million was set for information leading to Roper's arrest. Roper is expected to face prosecution in Missouri in relation to the 2020 charges.
