Passenger Sues JetBlue After Flight Attendant Allegedly Gave Her Dry Ice by Mistake for Swollen Leg

A JetBlue passenger, Patricia Matzenbacher, is suing the airline for allegedly giving her an ice pack containing dry ice to treat a swollen leg during a flight from Paris to New York City on March 31, 2025. The complaint alleges that the flight crew misjudged her request for ice and instead provided dry ice, which can cause skin burns and tissue damage. Matzennbacher demands a trial by jury and is seeking damages in an amount to be determined in court. The incident occurred during the flight.
