Iran attacks an Indian-flagged vessels as transmission suggests ship had permission to cross Hormuz

Iranian authorities have attacked two Indian-flagged vessels attempting to cross the Strait of Hormuz, according to radio transmissions. The vessels were attempting to transport crude oil across the strait when they were attacked. The Iranian ambassador to New Delhi, Mohammad Fathali, was called in to discuss the incident with India's Foreign Secretary, Vikram Misri, who urged him to resume the process of facilitating the passage of India-bound ships across the Strait.
