Ricardo Berron, a former on-air reporter and charismatic anchor for Spanish-language stations Univision and Telemundo, has been accused of shooting at two Hispanic men in separate incidents. The alleged attacks occurred near Palomar Mountain, 67 miles north of where Berron lives. The married father-of-five was arrested at San Diego International Airport on March 10 and is facing possible hate crime charges. Authorities found a 9mm handgun at Berron's home that they allege was used in at least one of the attacks. Both victims were Hispanic. The latest attack occurred on Feb. 23 while the victim was parked near the mountain summit.
