The Late Show has spoofed the recent spat between Pope Leo XIV and President Donald Trump, using a parody song titled "They Not Pious" to satirize the ongoing dispute between the two leaders. The parody song includes the infamous 2024 battle between Kendrick Lamar and Drake, which was influenced by Drake's "Not Like Us" firebomb. The fake Pope was portrayed in a Chicago accent and raps about the Pope, calling him "the holy senile" and "called Jesus a doctor/ And it's probably Alzheimer's". The White House removed the image of Trump as Jesus after widespread condemnation from both sides of the aisle and religious leaders.
