Mike Brown stands by Knicks sub decision — but it’s one he may be forced to rethink

The Knicks lost 107-106 Game 2 of the series to the Hawks, with coach Mike Brown's strategy of sitting both Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns for the starts of the second and fourth quarters rather than stagger them and having one player on the court. The Knicks' lineup, featuring Miles McBride, Landry Shamet, Jordan Clarkson and Mitchell Robinson, struggled in the game against the Hawks. The loss led to a nine-point lead in the second quarter and a 13-3 run by the Hawks' opening run. Brown's decision to sit Brunson, and Towns for two minutes led to an ineffective start and a collapse in the fourth quarter. The team's No. 2 pick in the upcoming NBA draft was determined by a random drawing.
