Portland International Airport unveils new exits to baggage claim, shortening walk from gate

The Port of Portland has unveiled new exit lanes on the north and south sides of the main terminal in an effort to shorten the walk from the gates to baggage claim. The move is part of the last major change before the port ends construction on the terminal in June. Chief projects officer Vince Granato said the new exits will make it easier for travelers to walk from their gate to baggage claims. The new lanes have been a long time coming, with construction for the $2.2 billion project starting in 2018.
