Police have arrested 31-year-old Victor Llarena-Moren, a wanted man who stole 22 purses from a Tigard store on the night of February 28, leading to a brief police chase. The theft occurred when employees reported a theft at a store near the Washington Square Mall where a man stole purses and loaded them into a car, changed his clothes, and returned to steal more. After being cornered in a fenced yard, police found 22 stolen handbags and a wallet stolen from a separate incident in the car. Police believe Llareena-Moreon was intoxicated and was taken to jail on charges of first-degree theft, third-degree escape, contempt of court, reckless driving, and other charges.
