Tony Dungy, the former head coach of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, has been cut from his role as an analyst for NBC Sports' "Sunday Night Football" for the 2026 NFL season. The news came after a report indicated that Dungy was unlikely to be part of NBC's plans to revamp the program. Dungy completed his 17th season on "Football Night In America" in January and expressed disappointment at the news. He thanked his NBC family for making the last 17 years so special and said he would have lasting memories of his time there.
