Sunport employees in Albuquerque are leading a food donation drive for TSA workers who are not receiving pay due to the partial government shutdown. Travelers are also being asked to contribute items such as mac and cheese, ramen, peanut butter, beans, and gift cards. Gift cards can be given to TSA supervisors during checkpoints. The partial government government shutdown has left TSA agents without paychecks, leading to a doubled rate of employees calling out of work. Donations can be dropped off at the Aviation Department between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., or at the Communications Center outside these hours.
