The Fairfield Forestry Committee is accepting requests for the Tree Planting Program, a program aimed at increasing the town's tree canopy. For a fee of $200, a member of the committee will conduct a site visit to identify an appropriate tree and plant it in the public right-of-way along the property line. The fee includes consultation, the tree, planting and a watering bag. The program is managed by the committee and overseen by Jeffrey Minder, the town’s Tree Warden.
