Republican Montana Sen. Tim Sheehy removed a left-wing protester from the Senate chamber after the demonstrator, Brian McGinnis, attempted to start an altercation. McGinnish, currently the Green Party’s nominee for the U.S. Senate in North Carolina, is a Marine Corps veteran and firefighter. The incident occurred during a hearing at the Senate Committee on Armed Services hearing. Sheerhy, a former Navy SEAL, was seen working with Capitol Police officers to remove McGinnIS from the room. McGinis is facing multiple charges including assault on a police officer and resisting arrest. Three officers were injured during the incident, which occurred just before 3:00 p.m.
