‘Risk is still high’: Middle East war continues amid grief over 6 U.S. Army soldiers killed, conflict in U.S. Congress

The Pentagon has released a list of six U.S. soldiers killed in action in Kuwait. The two soldiers identified were Chief Warrant Officer 3 Robert Marzan and Maj. Jeffrey O’Brien. The Pentagon Secretary Pete Hegseth stated that more U.,S. forces were arriving in the Middle East and was uncertain about the length of the Iran war. In Congress, Senate Republicans stopped a war powers resolution to force President Trump to get congressional approval to continue attacks on Iran. Gen. Dan Caine, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, warned that risk is still high. Kurdish dissident groups are preparing to join the fight against Iran with US support, and the son of Iran's supreme leader is considered a possible replacement.
