Third-year guard on the Grizzlies, GG Jackson, has criticized NBA referees for not giving the same benefit of the doubt as future Hall of Famer Kevin Durant, accusing them of pandering to players of Durant's stature. Jackson argued that while he respects Durant, other players who are more physical and athletic, he receives more favorable calls from referees. He also expressed frustration over a play where he thought he drew foul on Alperen Sengun and asked official John Goble's attention. Jackson's 12 points per game are the highest on Grizzlies among players with at least 15 games played this season. The Grizzlies have been eliminated from playoff contention, while the Rockets are currently in championship-or-bust mode after acquiring Durant in the offseason.
