Monona police: Preliminary investigation suggests medical emergency caused crash

A multi-vehicle crash occurred at the intersection of East Broadway and Monona Drive in Monona, Wisconsin, causing six drivers to be seriously injured. The driver of a full-sized pickup truck experienced an acute medical emergency and accelerated at high speed, striking several stopped vehicles. The remaining passengers sustained non-life-threatening injuries. The Wisconsin State Patrol and Monon police are currently investigating the cause of the accident.
