Ted Chaiban, the deputy executive director of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), has reported that 324 children have been killed or injured in Iran and Lebanon since the U.S.-Israeli war with Iran started on February 28. This includes 206 children in Iran, 118 children in Lebanon, and four children in Israel. Chaiban also revealed that over 2,100 children have died or injured due to the conflict. The UNICEF estimates that up to 3.2 million Iranians, including up to 864,000 children, have been displaced as a result of the war. The conflict began on the first day of the conflict, with a missile strike on an Iranian girls school killing at least 168 people, including over 100 children.
