2 families in Little Haiti become 1st-time homeowners with help from affordable housing program

Two families in Miami have become first-time homeowners with help from the city's affordable housing program. The program provides assistance to families who haven't owned a home within the last three years. The homes were built on a vacant parcel in the Little Haiti neighborhood and were selected through a lottery process. The affordable twin homes were priced at $250,000 and made possible with federal American Rescue Plan Act funds. As of Monday, eight homes have been built as a result of the program.
