Suspect dies after deputy-involved shooting, following pursuit and crash on Highway 58

Kern County deputies responded to a reported shooting and pursued the alleged suspect, who later crashed on Highway 58. After making contact with the suspect, a deputy-involved shooting occurred. No deputies were injured in the incident. The suspect was declared dead on the scene. The Kern County Sheriff's Office is currently investigating the incident, with no further comment.
