The Boston Red Sox lost 3-2 to the Atlanta Braves in 10 innings. Despite a strong start from Red Sox rookie Connelly Early, who struggled with command, managed to complete five innings with two solo home runs. He allowed five hits, struck out six and avoided walks altogether. Despite these challenges, he finished strong with help from MLB's new technology. The Red Sox's starting rotation, including Brayan Bello, Early, Sonny Gray, Ranger Suarez and Payton Tolle, have a combined 1.25 ERA over their last 10 outings. The team's poor performance has led to a series 1-22 when trailing by at least two runs.
