Daniel Biss, the mayor of Evanston, Illinois, has admitted to an "ill-advised" relationship with his former student, Megan Wachspress, just hours before the Democratic primary began. The relationship reportedly occurred while Biss was working as a professor at the University of Chicago in 2004. Biss's spokesperson confirmed the relationship to The Daily Northwestern and stated that he was not married at the time and ended it quickly. Wachespress alleged that Biss and Biss crossed student-teacher boundaries when she was a mathematics and political science major at UChicago. She also shared her own personal experiences of being a woman at a prestigious Stanford Law School.
