Silverwood, a Hesperia-based development in California, has been named Masterplan Community of the Year at the So Cal MAME Awards. The entire project will cover over 9,300 acres and include nearly 15,633 homes when it is completed, with homes priced from $400,000 to $700,000. The award was given to communities that exemplified innovation, creativity, and excellence across Southern California's homebuilding industry. John Ohanian, the general manager of the Silverwood Joint Venture for DMB Development, also won Industry Leader of The Year award. Silverwood is being constructed in nine phases over the next 15 to 20 years and plans for retail space, schools, and resident amenities like The Crest Club. The community is designed to foster a neighborly way of life for all, supporting each other and fostering a kindness culture.
